Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data TRUEGRAIN LAB collects, why, and the choices you have. J B Agro is the data fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
What we collect
- Account details: name, email, phone, password (stored only as a secure hash), your role and the units you belong to.
- Business details: company name, address and GSTIN, for invoices and reports.
- Grading data: sample names, results and report details. Scan images stay on your PC unless you turn on dataset sharing. When you ask for an advanced report, the processed scan image for that sample is uploaded so our model service can make the report.
- Device and sign-in records: which PC signed in, when, and the app version, to protect your licence and your account.
- Website use: basic page view counts. We don't use advertising cookies.
Why we use it
- To run your account, grade samples, sync results and show them in the owner app.
- To check your licence and trial, and stop misuse.
- To send invoices, renewal notices and service messages.
- To answer support requests and bug reports.
- To improve the grading engine, only from images you chose to share.
We use your data only for these purposes, based on your consent at sign-up and our contract with you. We don't sell personal data.
Where it is stored
Scans and the local database stay on your PC, encrypted with Windows data protection. Account, sync and report data is stored with Supabase in Mumbai, India. Some of the providers below may process data outside India. India's DPDP Act allows this unless the government restricts the destination country.
Who we share it with
We share data only with these service providers, who process it for us and for no other purpose:
- Supabase: sign-in, database and sync (Mumbai, India).
- Cloudflare: hosting for this website and the owner app, and file storage for advanced report images.
- Resend: sending emails such as replies, renewal reminders and bug report receipts.
- Google Analytics: website visit statistics.
We also share data with authorities when the law requires it. Users in your own organisation see what their role allows.
Cookies
The website uses cookies only for Google Analytics, to count visits and see which pages are read. They are not used for advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser and the site will still work. The apps use sign-in storage that keeps you logged in.
How long we keep it
- Sign-in and device records: 12 months.
- Synced results: archived after 12 months and kept while your account is active.
- After you close your account: deleted within 12 months, except invoices and records tax law needs us to keep.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, or name someone to act for you. Write to truegrainlabs@gmail.com, and we will act on your request within 30 days. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it: write to us, or turn off dataset sharing in Settings. It stops the service for that user, but doesn't undo processing already done.
When you use these rights, the DPDP Act asks you not to give false information, file frivolous complaints or pretend to be someone else.
Security
We use encrypted connections, hashed passwords, local encryption and role-based access. No system is perfectly safe. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Children
TRUEGRAIN LAB is a business tool and is not meant for anyone under 18.

Changes
We will post any change here with a new date and tell you if it affects how we use your data.
